Many people fled to the internet when they feel cannot sleep at night. A small study showed promising results for insomnia therapy for nine weeks based on the Internet.
This research is not at all involving therapeutics. Internet software gives some advice, even giving a specific timetable to sleep. All agenda based on the patient’s sleep. Patients will learn healthy sleep habits - such as the siesta - through stories, quizzes, and games.
“This program is interactive and personal,” said Frances Thorndike from the University of Virginia Health System, one of the researchers who helped design software called Sleep Healthy Using the Internet, or SHUTi. Thorndike said, software like this would become a low cost alternative therapy for patients. Other advantages, this option will be without medication for those living in areas where there is no specialist therapy.
